Ant allergy group fights for vaccine

Tasmanians allergic to jack jumper bites have formed a support group in a bid to maintain life-saving treatment.

Thousands of Tasmanians allergic to the insects will be affected when the program that led to a vaccine runs out of funding this year.

The group, antallergy.org, said it hoped to work with Tasmanian Health Minister David Llewellyn to ensure the world-renowned immunotherapy program continued at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
